Spent the evening on board in Sydney Harbour and had a magical evening. The weather was perfect. The only down side was the lack of advertised seafood BBQ!! It was replaced by cold tucker boxes and soggy meat pie! Not my idea of good food!!
We were very impressed with how many options were made available to us. We found the collection spot easy to find, for collecting our cards. We had a lovely time and the kids loved all the wildlife and sealife attractions. I can recomend it for familys with young children.
I had a limited amount of time in Sydney and this was a great way too see the city from the water. I did the circuit and had I had more time would have got off at a couple of the stops. I also had the hop on hop off bus ticket and it is great to combine the 2 tours.
Make it unique: Sydney is a special place before you’ve even got to the harbour! Its vibe and spirit are infectious. Why not get the energy flowing with a special boat tour? Perhaps a dinner cruise or set sail on a tall ship? You can even head back in time on a ‘convict cruise’. Go on jazz up your boat tour, it’s the Sydney thing to do!
Safe as houses: According to the statistics, Sydney is among the safest cities on the planet. So, touring here should be a breeze. The residents are friendly and will help if needed. Just be aware, like most cities, of areas worth avoiding. So stick to those tourist areas.
A city full of highs: It goes without saying that your Sydney harbour cruise will pick out some of the highlights. However, there’s more to explore after the Opera house and harbour bridge. Taronga Zoo for one, Bondi beach and the Royal Botanic Gardens are all worth exploring.
• Sydney harbour bridge dominates the skyline, and as you get up close just imagine the 1400 workers who took 8 years to complete the bridge.
• You may spot some painters on the bridge, that’s because they are constantly re-painting it! One to look fresh and two, to protect the structure.
• If you have time on shore, then why not head up to the peak of the arch. You’ll get a spectacular view if you do.
• The steel used for the bridge is 80% imported from the UK!
