• Want to go for a walk? Then Tampa’s Bayshore Blvd is just 4.5 miles in length. And at that distance, it rightfully has the distinction of being the world’s longest continuous sidewalk. You’ll pass cyclists, joggers and walkers, and you’ll get stunning views of the bay and the Tampa skyline. Go for it, we say.

• Don’t kick up a storm when you’re there! But you may well see a storm, especially if you visit during summer. Tampa is the lightning capital of the world. Keep an eye out!

• Also keep an eye out for the wild chicken! In Tampa, you’ll find wild chickens roaming the city streets. It’s Ybor City where this happens in its parks and streets.
